Today is our last full day in Guangzhou. It is hard for us to believe. The time in Guangzhou has passed much more quickly than the time in Chengdu. I'm sure that is in part due to the fact that we are settling into the reality of being Sarah's parents and feel like we are all much more comfortable with each other now. The amazing weather here helps as well. We are so excited about beginning the long trek home tomorrow evening.
This morning we went to Guangzhou's botanical gardens. They were spectacular, and Sarah enjoyed spending the morning outside. We also took our family photo on one of the red couches here at The White Swan -- a rite of passage for adoptive families that stay here.
This afternoon we will go to the American consulate to take our oath in connection with obtaining Sarah's visa. Then we will enjoy a leisurely evening back on the island and toast our last night here with Magnum bars.

Yeah! Almost time for us to meet Sarah! When we were leaving China, it was such a mixed feeling of sadness over leaving our children's birth country that we had grown to love so much in such a short time. A country that had given us so much of who we were as a family. This sadness was mixed with the excitement of starting our live as a family in our own home with new traditions and new familiarities. Of course, we didnt' have kids that we missed waiting on us at home, so I bet you will be even more excited to come home and hug those sweeties! We are still praying for you guys. Jennifer
